Natalia Zhestovskaya and Grigory Glazunov organized OddDance Theater in 2002. They are dancers-improvisers, choreographers and researchers of various forms of movement (Butoh,Tai-Chi-Chuan, new-dance, body mind centering) and have the culture of Russian theatre in background.
Odd Dance Theater is creating solos and group performances based on the individual researchers. The work is based on finding personal techniques and vulnerable qualities.
The space with which dancers of Odddance theatre work can be absolutely unexpected. Performances pass on theatrical and concert platforms, in showrooms, art clubs; and outdoor: in streets, lakes, the rivers, beaches and rocks.
Theatre works on live art of communication.
Natalia Zhestovskaya and Grigory Glazunov teach continuously in St.-Petersburg and give master classes internationally and are organizers of art events.
Odd Dance is taking part in live performances with Russian and foreign musicians:Sergey Borov (Moscow), Timo Seppala, Salla Seppa (Finland),"Nu Transit"(Finland), Vera Dorn (Germany) and visual artists Anne Pekhanen, Merja Malkki, Heli Makinen (Finland), Aine Ivers, Patrick Ward (Ireland), Peter Hoogers (Holland)
